Melamine Foam for Aerospace Applications. We provide custom high-performance foam solutions for aircraft and spacecraft. Tailored to the harsh operating conditions of the aerospace industry, it meets multiple requirements including light weight, fire resistance and thermal insulation.
This foam boasts a range of outstanding properties: inherent flame retardancy rated UL94 V-0 and Class B1; minimum thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/(m·K) for superior thermal insulation; DC voltage withstand up to 1000V; operating temperature range from -160℃ to 240℃; ultra-low density down to 8 kg/m³ to reduce equipment weight. It complies with RoHS and REACH standards, releases no highly toxic fumes during combustion and is fibre-free. Additionally, it features resistance to acids, alkalis, mould and ageing, with an NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) up to 0.85. It can be further processed and laminated with other substrates to fit profiled components.
The product is applicable for filling and protection of insertion hole assemblies, cushioning for aircraft seat backs, sound absorption and noise reduction of fairings and other applications.
